Job Title: Head of Commercial Brokering
Reporting to: Managing Director
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Contract type: Full Time (35 hrs per week), Permanent.
Location: Newark, NG24 1BS (remote/hybrid working)

The Role:

The Head of Commercial Brokering is responsible for sourcing a talented team of Brokers to deliver and drive business growth to new heights. The role is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the broker team, implementing effective strategies, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional services to the business.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies for the financial sector to attract top-tier talent and build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Develop strategies to identify top talent, sourcing candidates
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, providing strategic guidance and consultation.
  • Lead and mentor a team, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Work closely with management and Lead Introducers to ensure best practice and best client experience.
  • Running applications from start to finish.
  • Ensure accurate records and documentation is completed and retained.
  • Meeting lenders and brokers ensuring good relationships are forged and maintained.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal teams and within the wider Fiducia Group.
  • Attending relevant meetings and events.
  • Ensure you meet all targets, objective and KPIs individually and for the company.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Full awareness and understanding of Consumer Duty cross-cutting rules and Consumer Outcomes.
  • Understand how Fiducia embeds Consumer Duty and focuses on consumer outcomes.
  • Ensure Consumer interests are prioritised and Fiducia’s management is challenged when they are not.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties required in line with capabilities, the needs of the company, and the wider group.

Required Qualifications/Expertise:

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Finance Broker, within the financial or professional services industry. Must have strengths in the following areas: Commercial Mortgages, Development Finance, Bridging, Leasing & Asset & Cashflow Finance
  • Strong knowledge of products and compliance.
  • Demonstrate 3 years of experience as a Finance Broker.
  • Proven experience as a high performing Line manager with the ability to deliver results.
