  • Citizenship – A client may be in a non-sanctioned country but have the citizenship of a sanctioned country – This can prove an issue for lenders as well

  • Deposit source – Lenders will want to know where the deposit is being sourced from and that it is not coming from a sanctioned country or a sanctioned individual

  • Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) – Many lenders will only lend to a UK-registered limited companies (SPVs), even when the owners of that SPV are Foreign Nationals or Ex-Pats

  • High Net Worth – Some lenders require these type of clients to be high net-worth individuals
