A Gateway to UK Property
By Zeenat Shaffi, Senior Business Development Manager
Nomo Property Finance was created to fill a gap in the market for GCC residents wanting to gain a foothold in the UK’s residential property market. Nomo offers residential and buy-to-let finance products to help GCC residents buy or refinance a home in the UK, whilst adhering to Sharia’a finance principles.
An untapped market
There’s a variety of opportunities for Brokers to help GCC residents in the UK Property Market. Customers might be expats returning to the UK or affluent families looking for buy-to-let property across England and Wales.
Nomo helps Brokers take advantage of those opportunities through a digital first property finance journey.
Available across select Middle East countries
We provide access to the UK property market for GCC residents in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar, enabling customers who don’t have a UK credit footprint or bank account to invest.
Given that a number of GCC clients already own properties in the UK, Nomo also offers a refinancing proposition for those looking to refinance at favourable rates.
Guiding through the Sharia’a process
Our Property Finance team guides brokers and clients through the property purchase process. Being a Sharia’a-compliant finance provider means we adhere to Sharia’a principles – brokers new to this specialism can often find the differences between Sharia’a and traditional mortgages difficult to understand.
To bring brokers up to speed on these principles, we frequently hold broker training sessions, conferences, and lunch and learns. Our expert Business Development Managers are available to be able to support brokers through the entire process, from initial approach to closing a deal.
Local Experts
Our team has extensive expertise in the UK property market, empowering clients to buy a UK home for their family, grow a property portfolio, or secure a new deal for an existing property.
About Nomo
Nomo is the world’s first Sharia’a compliant cross-border bank, built for customers in the GCC who want an international banking experience. Our property finance offering was launched in 2023 for GCC customers looking to invest and safeguard their wealth in British bricks and mortar.
